The musical director, Wolfgang Steubl, who is also the big band's vocal soloist, performs with a powerful voice and a great deal of passion. The fact that everything sounds so harmonious and looks so easy can be attributed to the experience and enjoyment of everyone involved.<\/p>\n

Schon w\u00e4hrend der \u00c4ra Punz faszinierte Helmut Steubl der Bigband-Sound. Tief beeindruckt von einem Live-Konzert der Max-Greger-Bigband in Wien, sowie nach dem Anh\u00f6ren von Schallplatten der Orchester Hugo Strasser, Kurt Edelhagen u.a., wu\u00dfte er: Das ist es, was er umsetzen wollte!<\/span><\/p>\n

Dieser Sound entsprach genau seinen Vorstellungen von gehobener Tanzmusik. Es begann eine \u00e4u\u00dferst m\u00fchevolle Aufbauarbeit: Durch die Schaffung von vielen eigenen Spezialarrangements und deren intensives Proben gelang es letztendlich, ein hohes Niveau an Klangk\u00f6rperkultur zu erreichen. Nat\u00fcrlich durften Klangstile, wie der ber\u00fchmte Glenn Miller-Sound nicht fehlen. 40 % des Repertoires bestand bald aus der eigenen „Werkstatt“.<\/p>\n

Und so enstand im Laufe der Zeit aus dem urspr\u00fcnglichen 9-Mann-Ensemble bald die „Helmut Steubl Bigband“.<\/p>\n

Die exakte Interpretation der Standard- und lateinamerikanischen Rhythmen war auch eine Voraussetzung, da\u00df viele Ballveranstalter dieses Orchester engagierten.<\/p>\n

Im J\u00e4nner 2005 \u00fcbernahm sein Sohn Wolfgang die „Helmut Steubl Bigband“ als musikalischer Leiter und Gesangssolist.<\/p>\n
