1961 geboren, stammt aus einer Musikerfamilie.<\/p>\n

Nach dem Studium der Violine und Viola an der Musikschule und sp\u00e4ter am Konservatorium der Stadt Wien, studierte er dort ab 1985 Tuba und schloss dieses Studium mit Diplom- und Lehramtspr\u00fcfung erfolgreich ab.
Neben der Pflege der Wiener- und \u00d6sterreichischen Musik, erweiterte er sein musikalisches Spektrum durch Auftritte im kommerziellen Bereich bei Ballveranstaltungen, Galas, K\u00fcnstlerbegleitungen, Firmenfeiern, Hochzeiten, Pr\u00e4sentationen und Volksfesten. Als S\u00e4nger, Bassgitarrist und Geiger spielte und spielt er bei \u201eSing&Swing\u201c, \u201eHelmut Steubl Streichorchester und BigBand\u201c, \u201ePolizeimusik Wien\u201c u.v.a. Seine Konzertreisen f\u00fchrten ihn z.B. nach Frankreich, in die Schweiz, nach Deutschland, Luxemburg, Italien, Slowenien und nach Ungarn.<\/p>\n

Performances with the tuba as a stage musician at the Jura Soyfer Theatre and as a substitute at the Vienna Volksoper and the Vienna State Opera also gave him an insight into the stage activities of Vienna as a city of music.<\/p>\n

Auch dem traditionellen Dixielandjazz wandte er sich zu. Mit seinem Sousaphon spielt er schon seit ca. 30 Jahren eine \u201eBlowing bass\u201c-Rolle in der traditionellen Jazzszene \u00d6sterreichs. Gemeinsam mit den \u201eVienna Piccadilly Onions\u201c ist er nicht nur im altehrw\u00fcrdigen Wiener Jazzland, sondern auch auf diversen Festivals, Stadtfesten und Privatveranstaltungen zu finden.<\/p>\n

The legacy of a Schrammel archive comprising around 1000 titles formed the basis for his activities as an interpreter of Viennese songs. Together with his pianist friend Andreas Plank, he developed a concert programme that is characterised by the individuality of both musicians. In this concert programme, the majority of well-known Viennese songs are performed, which were written over a period of around 150 years. The intensive rehearsals culminated in the production of the CD \"Der Wiener Troubadour\".<\/p>\n

2005 \u00fcbernahm Wolfgang Steubl die musikalische Leitung der Helmut Steubl BigBand und des Austria Swingtett.<\/p>\n

Seit 2011 ist er f\u00fcr das gesamte Management und die k\u00fcnstlerische Leitung der Orchester verantwortlich.<\/p>\n

Dar\u00fcber hinaus sieht er sich als Vermittler \u201eLebender Musik\u201c und betrachtet es als seine Aufgabe, f\u00fcr die jeweilige Veranstaltung, das passende Musikprogramm zu erstellen.<\/p>\n
